Some SporeNetwork changes
With the new theme, I also worked on a couple of other changes:
- Sporepedia is no longer a link to another website, but a new encyclopedia for all Spore games. It's not a wiki! Sporepedia already contains some information, but it's not complete yet.
- A couple of menu items have disappeared in the new theme, such as screenshots, videos, information, help and some more. This can now be found under Sporepedia and saves a lot of space.
- There was a lot of spam in the comments section, so we deleted all the comments (as far as we could see it, the website didn't contain any real comments anyway. We also deleted all the spammers. To prevent more spammers from joining the website and commenting, the comments are now moderated. Accounts have to be approved. But you don't need an account to post a comment.
- The forums have been reorganized. The Spore showcase forums can now be found under Spore. A Darkspore forum has been added. So be sure to pay the forums a visit!
- There is a new poll about Darkspore!
- Old release dates have been removed (you can still see them in Sporepedia), and updated with Darkspore release dates!
- The website members list and profile pages have been given a make-over! In the members list and on profile pages you can see difference between male, female and gender unknown profiles.
- We updated the affiliates block, since some affiliates have closed their websites.
- The social networking block has also been updated; We have a new Facebook page!
New SporeNetwork design!
With Darkspore being released this month, we decided to give SporeNetwork a new look. A somewhat darker design for both Darkspore and Spore. If you don't like this dark theme, you can still go to your account (yes, members only) and choose the old "Spore" theme. As for the forums, I haven't had time to create a matching forum theme yet, but I'll work on that one very soon. Enjoy the new theme!
TARDIS Sporecast
I've been geeking out lately with Doctor Who and Torchwood. I didn't have inspiration to create items in Spore for a long time. But yesterday after watching Doctor Who, I finally got back into Spore and created TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimensions In Space) as a space ship and as a city hall for my first game since I installed Galactic Adventures. Today I continued making items for my series. A TARDIS factory, house and entertainment building have now been completed and added to my new TARDIS Sporecast, click here to view it!
Sporepedia
I haven't told anyone about this until today. SporeNetwork also has a Sporepedia website, where you will be able to download creatures, vehicles, buildings and more, once the game is released! Rosana will be offering the downloads on Sporepedia. And we will tell you more about this soon. Until then, of course you can check out the website, but there's not much on it (yet).
SporeNetwork is going to change
SporeNetwork is going to change soon. If you have some good ideas, please share them with us on our forums. We will then see whether or not we can use and realize your ideas.
New Layout
Don't send me any pm's just yet about things on the current website that do not work properly. There are still a few kinks here and there. And I'm working on those. Please let me know in our forums what you think about the new layout? Thanks!
New SporeNetwork is coming!
It's been quiet on our Spore websites for a few months. That did have something to do with the fact that I also own SimsNetwork and SimsNetwerk. Those websites consume a lot of my free time, and that leaves less time for Spore. But the SNW websites have been changed, improved, which saves me more time. Now it's time for a new look on SporeNetwork. I cannot show a preview just yet, but I will post one soon.
Banner and Button for SporeNetwork!
Finally they're finished. I'm pretty happy with the result:
(Banner 468x60)

(Button 88x31)

So if you decide to link to SporeNetwork, now you can. You can also find these banners and buttons on the Links page ![]()
